Pokhara–Pokhara recently hosted a workshop aimed at developing a draft policy on youth entrepreneurship, organized jointly by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) and FNCCI Gandaki. The event witnessed the participation of various representatives from the tourism, industry, trade, and government sectors.
Sishir Kumar Dhungana, former secretary of the Finance Ministry, served as the resource person for the workshop. He delivered a presentation on youth entrepreneurship policy dialogue and highlighted the importance of youth entrepreneurship through PowerPoint slides.
Surya Bahadur Bhujel, Vice Chairman of FNCCI Gandaki, extended a warm welcome to all the participants. The workshop, titled “Sub-National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Promotion at Gandaki Province,” was introduced by Hari Paudel, Assistant Director of FNCCI.
Amidst productive discussions, the workshop focused on young entrepreneurship and startup businesses. FNCCI Gandaki Chairman, Amrit Bhattachan, expressed gratitude to all the participants for their valuable contributions. The workshop received support from the International Labor Organization and the South Asian Leadership for Entrepreneurship.
The workshop not only provided a platform for dialogue but also aimed to formulate a comprehensive policy framework to encourage and support youth entrepreneurship in the nation. By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, the event sought to foster an ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurial ventures, ultimately contributing to economic growth and development.
