Pokhara—Pokhara Tourism Council (PTC), an umbrella organization of Pokhara-based tourism institutions has urged the government to reschedule the bank loan and to refinance in order to pay off the existing loan of the tourism sector.
Submitting a 15-point memorandum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today, PTC chairman Pom Narayan Shrestha requested the government to lower the interest rate to a single digit.
He also demanded that PM Dahal reinstate the former policy of compulsory financing in the tourism sector. Similarly, PTC wishes to see the international flight from the newly opened Pokhara International Airport.
