Pokhara—Communist Party of Nepal Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka Prachanda claimed that his party would be a major force following the result of the upcoming local level election, securing the largest number of seats among the parties. Addressing a media gathering organized by Press Center Gandaki in Pokhara on Sunday, Dahal who is also a former Prime Minister said that his party would contest the election on its own instead of relying on any political alliance.
‘We have our own agendas, unity, and power to win the election,’ Dahal Said, ‘so, other parties would come to us to fight election jointly.’ He also claimed that the political situation is developing in favor of UCPN- Maoist. He also added that the local level election would happen on the stipulated date. Dahal further ruled out the possible electoral alliance with the main opposition CPN-UML. He didn’t guarantee the electoral alliance with the ruling coalition partner Nepali Congress Party too.
