Pokhara—Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) has distributed the prize money to 10 best hotels who received their tariff via QR Code transaction during the Jaun Hai Pokhara digital campaign that was launched under the Nepali New Year 2078. The winner hotels were selected on the basis of numbers of transactions carried out through quick response code.
One first hotel received Rs 50,000, two second hotels got Rs 20,000 and seven third hotels received Rs 5,000 each. According to PHAP Chairman Bikal Tulachan, the customers who paid their hotel bill through QR Code were given 40 percent discount too. The Jaun Hai Pokhara digital campaign was carried out in cooperation with Fonepay Pvt. Ltd.
Under this scheme, Teeka Resort got first prize; The Kuti Resort and Hotel Dandelion got second prize. Likewise, Chautari Boutique Hotel, Hotel Lake Shore, Hotel Village Inn, Hotel Crown Himalayas, Fishtail Lodge, Temple Tree Resort and Hotel Barahi garnered third third prize.
Promotion of domestic tourism and cashless transaction culture, reduction of Covid- 19 contamination and priority to digital transaction were key mottos of this cooperation between PHAP and Fonepay. At the same time, Teeka Resort Pvt. Ltd. proprietor Sangeeta Paudel, PHAP first vice chairman Laxaman Subedi and PHAP general secretary Ganesh Raj Pahari also put their views during the program.
