Pokhara—Normal life in Nepal has crippled due to the bandh organized by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav led Nepal Communist Party on Thursday. The party has demanded the immediate release of its party leaders and cadres arrested by Nepal Police.
Issuing a statement, the party also has urged instant lifting of ban on NCP activities imposed by the government. According to information, two suspicious objects have been found in two places of Pokhara this morning during this bandh. Those objects were found in a road near a Gandaki Province assembly building Nadipur and in Sainik Basti.
Nepali Army bomb disposal squad has moved to the fields to defuse the objects, thinking of possible explosives that have thought to be planted by NCP which also has announced that the party will obstruct the programs participated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli from April 18.
Similarly, a bomb went of last evening near the main gate of Chaudhary Group’s industrial area at Devchuli- 2 Nawalparasi. No human casualty has been reported during the incident. The situation of this area is normal now.
During the bandh most of the business shutters in Pokhara have been closed and no public transportation is plied in both local and long route. But Kathmandu roads see numbers of vehicles in spite of bandh. Press, ambulance, drinking water and milk related vehicles could be seen in roads. Some private vehicles also are driven. No other bad news has been reported.

Dharma Bahadur Thapa, an Nepal Army corporal from Kalibhanjan Batalion at Ratna Mandir Pokhara sustain injury in his hand when he was trying to defuse a suspicious bomb planted in a roadside near Gandaki Province Office in Nadipur this morning, informed District Police Office Kaski DSP Rabindraman Gurung. His treatment is undergoing in local hospital. Similarly, a suspicious object has been found near Big FM in New Road.
Likewise, Nepali Army have disposed a pipe bomb found in Baglung Municipality of Baglung district and another bomb in Panauti of Kavrepalanchok district. Similarly, a Indian number plate truck that was parked near roadside has been torched at Nawalpur during the bandh. At the same time, a bomb went off in Kawasoti today.
