Pokhara—Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli urged the Netra Bikram Chand Biplav led Nepal Communist Party to come to talks, setting the deadline of mid-April. Addressing the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) parliamentary party meeting in Kathmandu on Monday, PM Oli said that the activities of Chand outfit are criminal types.
PM Oli asked Biplav to renounce the arms and come to the talk table. “Otherwise the government would be more aggressive against Biplav group,” he said. Biplav group has been attacking in some development projects, telecom towers, government and non government offices and local level offices for few months. This party leaders and cadres have involved in extortion and intimidation.
PM Oli also claimed that the Biplav will be inside bar if he doesn’t accept the talks offer of the government. According to Oli, Biplav group has made the plan of murdering of ruling NCP leaders, so that group has not been allowed roaming freely.
In a different note, PM Oli said that the NCP unification will take final shape following the arrival of his that party co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda who is in US for the treatment his spouse.
As the government declared to ban on NCP activities, Koshi bureau coordinator of NCP Ghanshyam Shrestha alias Puskar was arrested on Sunday night. Similarly, police had arrested NCP Mid Region Command in charge Hemanta Prakash Oli alias Sudarshan and eight other leaders on March 22.
