Pokhara–The Fashion Federation Nepal (FFN) is to organize a International Fashion Week 2019 in touristy town Pokhara from April 11 to 13, 2019. Organizing a press meet in Pokhara on Sunday, FFN chairman Nabin Luintel informed that the mega event aims to promote and conserve the Nepali national dresses, traditional dresses as well as the dresses of the indigenous nationalities.
The program will take place at the Barahi Sports Ground in the shore of Phewa Lake. The program would also include the exhibition of Mona Shroff’s jewelries. Her jewelries have already been worn by famous celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood as well as in the Grammy and Oscars. Dresses prepared by Nepalese and foreign designers, dresses with fusion, food stalls and cultural shows would also be the part of the fashion week, informed FFN General Secretary Rajan Dhungel.
The organizer is to cooperate with Nepal Government, Nepal Tourism Board, Pokhara metropolitan City Office to make the fashion week a grand success. FFN had supported to exhibit traditional Nepali dresses in Asian Fashion Week 2014 held in Indonesia, Indian Intimate Fashion Week 2018 in India and International Fashion Week 2018 held in Malaysia.
