At least seven killed in Parbat bus mishap

Pokhara—At least seven persons have been killed and 31 other injured when a passenger bus they were travelling met with an accident in Nepal’s Parbat district this morning.

The Ga 1 kha 6108 bus was going to Narayangadh of Chitwan from Beni of Myagdi and plunged some 60 meter down to Kali Gandaki River bank from the road as it arrived at Maldhunga of Kusma Municipality-1 at around 8.30 am. Some of the injured have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment while others are receiving treatment in Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital and Pokhara.

According to Parbat CDO Ramkrishna Gauli,  the identity of the deceased is yet to be asserted. He further informed that Nepal Police personnel and local people engaged in the rescue operation following the occurrence of incident. The cause of the incident is still unknown.
