Pokhara—The missing Altitude Air 9N-ALS helicopter crashed in the bordering area of Dhading and Nuwakot this morning. The helicopter with seven persons on board took off at 7.40 am from Samagaun of Gorkha and was flying back to Kathmandu this morning.
Six Nepali including a pilot Nischal KC and a Japanese citizen were travelling the helicopter and the information of casualty is yet to be ascertained. The helicopter lost its contact with tower at around 8.5 am in the morning. Another helicopter of same airline that flew for searching had traced the missing helicopter. Shree Air helicopter also has also flown to incident site with medical team. Similarly, skillful Sherpa guides with rescue ropes also have gone to incident site in Simrik Air Helicopter.
Tribhuvan Airport General Manager Raj Kumar Chhetri informed that the helicopter should land at 8.18 am in that airport. According to information, the helicopter was being traveled by Lho Aani Dolma Diki and Chhobang Nurbu from Gorkha, Sunil Tamang from Sindhupalchok, Dilli Bahadur Gurung from Ramechhap, Hira Sherpa from Dolkha and a Japanese citizen Hiromi Komatsu. Local people and security personnel from local areas also have been deployed for rescue operation.
Update 4.32pm
-Pilot Nischal KC and all the passengers excluding Lho Aani Dolma Diki found dead in crash site.
-Aani would be airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
