Women entrepreneurs festival from June 13

Pokhara—The Women Entreprenerue Development sub-committee under Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is to organize a Women Entrepreneurs’ Fair 2075 from June 13- 16 at Pokhara Exhibition Center in Naya Bazaar of Pokhara.

With a slogan- Women Entrepreneurship for Economic Prosperity, the fair aims the marketing of the goods produced by women entrepreneurs from Nepal. The fair has been supported by the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Women Entrepreneur Development Committee and FNCCI Province 4 women sub-committee. Nepal Tourism Board and Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City Office are promoting the festival.

According to organizer PCCI Women Entrepreneur Development sub-committee’s president Sita Baral, sharing of entrepreneurship experiences among the women and relationship development among them are key aims of the festival. Promotion of entrepreneurship, active participation of women in entrepreneurship, promotion of goods produced by women, offering of tax education to them and giving knowledges of packaging and the durability of their business are also the motives of the festival.

According to Baral who is also the coordinator of festival, the festival contains 70 stalls of various goods and items produced by women entrepreneurs from all the districts of Province 4 and some districts of Nepal. Exhibition and trading of the goods are the key phenomenons of the festival that will be running from 11 am to 6 pm every day.

Gathering of women entrepreneurs from all across the Nepal, facilitation of LP Bhanu Sharma, interaction program, offering of banking education by Raveena Deshraj Shrestha, free eye camp, ICT class, breast and uterine cancer test of women, free health camp of diabetes and thyroid are also the attractions of the festivals. PCCI Chairman Bishwo Shankar Palikhe requested all the media persons to help to make the festival success, in a press meet organized in Pokhara today.
