Uttar Barindhara Bangladesh thrash Far Western-XI

Pokhara—Uttar Barindhara Club (UBC) Bangladesh advanced in semifinals of 16th Aaha Rara Gold Cup Football Tournament on Saturday. Thrashing 2-1 Far Western –XI, UBC made berth in last four of the tournament being held in Pokhara Stadium.

Man of the match Mido Massa and another player Kande Lansane scored 1 goal each for UBC and Binod KC scored solitary goal for Nepali side. Mido’s shot became capitalize in 74 minute while Kande did same in 83 minute. But KC from Nepali side scored in 88 minute.

Nepali side got the chance of penalty shootout as tourist team’s player Zinto Md handed the ball. However Dhiraj Gurung’s shot from Nepali side easily collected by visitor side’s goalie Osman Goni in 78 minutes.

Referee Sudish Kumar Pandey showed two red cards to visiting players within five minute of injury time of second halp. Sylla sonleymane was shown red cards as he got two yellow cards while Kande Lansane of same tam also got one yellow card and one red card during the match. The UBC was confined in nine players as the team’s two players got red cards.

UBC will take on the winner between Armed Police Force and Three Star Club on Jan 31st. Tomorrow’s match will be played between Nepal Army and Dharan Football Club. UBC coordinator Hasan Mahmud accused the referee Pandey of showing brassiness in the match. FW XI coach Suresh Hamal expressed his dissatisfaction that his players failed making scores as much as he expected.
