Pokhara—Kabita Tamang of Ramechhap has been crowned as 5th Miss Tamang 2018 in Pokhara on Saturday. Defeating her 14 contestants, Kabita bagged Rs 30,000 including crown and trophy as prizes. She also bagged the subtitle of miss talent.
At the same time, Susmita Gole from Kathmandu became first runner up while Amita Lama from Pokhara Lakeside turned second runner up. They bagged Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. They also bagged crown and trophy. Susmita also got the subtitle of public choice and miss confident while Amita got the subtitle of photogenic. Sony Tamang of Laligurans Tol won the title of viewers’ choice to bag Rs 10,000.
Similarly, Nilam Tamang from Malepatan miss culture, Monika Tamang from Kathmandu miss friendly, Omisha Ghising from Nayabazaar miss best skin, Laxmi Gomja Tamang miss best hair, Sashi Tamang from Ratna Chok miss beautiful, Bishnu Moktan from Malepatan miss disciplined, Sonam Bomjon from Simpani miss best smile, Susmita Tamang from Fulbari miss best walk, Panita Tamang from Laligurans Tol miss organizer choice, Ishika Tamang from Lakeside miss best personality and Selina Moktan from Malepatan miss best performer also prized during the grand finale.
According to Jack Tamang who is the chairman of organizer Baidam Tamang Sewa Samaj, the event was organized to develop the leadership capacity and skill of Tamang women. Nepal Tamang Ghedung Province 4 chairman Deepak Waiba was felicitated for his contribution in the conservation of Tamang culture, in the concluding ceremony. Nepal Tamang Ghedung Sangh central committee member Mohan Gole was the chief guest of the ceremony.
