Chairman Dahal hopeful for timely polls

Pokhara—CPN-MC Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that the upcoming polls would be held on stipulated dates. Speaking in a press meet organized by Press Center Nepal Kaski, Dahal claimed that no force could obstruct the polls as every side is for timely polls.

Dahal asked all the concern sides not to create illusion against the polls. He further added that the nation would have a road to stability and economic prosperity following the polls.

He also informed that he is going to vie election from constituency number 3 of Chitwan district. Addressing his party cadres in a party palace today in Lekhnath, Dahal said that he choose Chitwan though he has the support and well wishes of people from Kaski.

He also said that the left alliance is in final stage to sort out the allotment of candidacies among the alliance member parties and his party is claiming the two provincial seats and a federal seat from Kaski. Dahal claimed that they have done very hard work to forge a leftist alliance and the way of party unification between CPN-UML and CPN-MC. He further added that his party is very committed in the process of two-party unification.

Dahal claimed that the left alliance remained very fruitful for Nepali Congress as NC became more unified by merging other parties in NC. He also inaugurated a 13th Annual General meeting and 4th convention of Lekhnath Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation User Committee today in Lekhnath.
