Two killed in Manang jeep accident

Pokhara—An Israeli tourist and a Nepali person were killed in a jeep accident in Annapurna Region of Nepal on Sunday. The jeep with a number plate Ga 1 Ja 6034 was heading to Manang from Lamjung headquarter Besishahar and plunged at Nashong Rural Municipality- 1 in Tal, informed District Police Office Manang.

Deceased have been identified as Ms Abiyajar Berid, 24 and Bikram Buda, 25, of Kankri VDC, Rukum. Injured Berid and Buda took their final breath on the way to hospital of Beshisahar. According to Tal Police Post Chief Manahari Thapa, Nine other foreigners including two Nepali hurt in the accident. A total of 12 passengers including a driver were travelling in the ill-fated jeep.
