Pokhara—At least five persons injured when a bus met with an accident at Batulechaur of Madi Rural Municipality- 6 on Monday noon. The bus with a number plate Ga 1 Kha 4696 was heading for Pokhara from Sildajure of same rural municipality.
Surya Bahadur Gurung who is also a owner of that bus is among the injured. He is also a ward chairman of ward number 1 of this rural municipality. Seriously injured Prakash Gurung and Chok Bahadur Gurung were sent to Western Regional Hospital Pokhara. Three of the injured were treated in local Taprang Health Post, informed District Police Office Kaski.
According to a witness, the bus overturned when it was trying to cross the waterlogged muddy road. Driver Indra Tamang fled following the accident but police is searching for him. Trapped passengers were taken out breaking the windscreen.
In a separate accident, five persons were injured when two buses coming from different directions collided in Hemja of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City- 25 this afternoon. Injured were having treatment in Manipan Teaching Hospital Pokhara.
