Journalist Paudel conferred journalism award

Pokhara–Senior journalist Punya Paudel was conferred Late Daya Shankar Palikhe Memorial National journalism Award 2073 today in Pokhara.

The award was established by the family members of freedom fighter late Daya Shankar Palikhe and has been conducting by federation of Nepali Journalists Kaski chapter.

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Gopalman Shrestha felicitated Paudel giving Rs 33,333 including dosalla and appriciation letter in a formal ceremony organized in PCCI auditorium.

Paudel who has been in media sector about for 3 decades is a Chief Editor of Pokharapatra Daily. Speaking in the program, felicitated journalist Paudel vowed to continue active journalism as usal with out any fear.

Paudel started his journalism career from Dristi Weekly and reported for Chhalfal, Budhabar, Jana Astha and Radio Nepal. He had also engaged in Pokhara Hotline, Himali Awaj and Himchuli FM. He is a former chairman of FNJ Kaski and former centeral member of FNJ.

FNJ central member Ram Krishna Gnwali, CPN-UML central advisory council vice chairman Khag Raj Adhikari, Nepali Congress leader Sukra Raj Sharma, CPN-MC leader Raj Kaji Gurung Karan, senior journalists Gangadhar Parajuli, Badri Binod Prateek, Kushum Keshav Parajuli, Palikhe family member Sunayana Palikhe, FNJ Kaski vice chairman Tribhuban Paudel and secretary Ramprasad Timilsena expressed their views during the ceremony chaired by FNJ Kaski president Dipendra Shrestha.
