Pokhara—Impeachment motion against Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been registered in parliament today. A total of 249 lawmakers from ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-MC registered that motion.
Lawmakers have accused Karki of invading the executive rights of parliament, giving unfair verdict in IGP appointment process, choosing certain justices in bench and attacking the free and fair court.
The motion also accused Karki of intervening the power of separation and giving the bias verdicts. NC lawmaker Min BK and CPN-MC Chief Whip Tek Bahadur Basnet have proposed the motion.
