Kavita Concert to be held in Pokhara

Pokhara—Public Event is to organize a 2nd Poem (Kavita) Concert on April 15 in Pokhara. With a motto of professionalism development in poets and poems, the program adopts the theme of ‘Starting New Year with Creativity’.

According to program coordinator Upendra Prasad Poudel, popular there poets and three singers will perform in the show. A press meet was organized to inform about the concert that aims the offering of fusion taste of poems and songs, in Pokhara today.

Poets Biplav Dhakal, Upendra Subba and Momila Joshi will read 4 poems each, while singers Karna Das, Lochan Bhattarai and Itu Jojiju sing 6 poems with live music. The singing includes the poems of Aadi Kavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, Siddhicharan Shrestha, Tirtha Shrestha and others, informed event coordinator Sanjay Malla.

Media Coordinator Amrit Subedi believes that the concert is meaningful and different not only in Pokhara but throughout the Nepal. A ticket costs Rs 500 or Rs 1,000 to enter the concert that will be enjoyed approximately 400 audiences.

The concert have assisted by Lions Club of Pokhara Tourism City and mainly sponsored by Bajeko Sekuwa Party Palace and Restaurant.
