Pokhara—CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli accused ruling Nepali Congress of attacking the judiciary in Pokhara on Friday.
Addressing a mass meeting organized by CPN-UML Kaski, Oli said that the NC central committee decision regarding supreme court’s verdict on the appointment of IGP was against the democratic norms. ‘NC’s decision on IGP’s appointment verdict given by Supreme Court is the example of intervention over the supremacy of judiciary’, Oli said. Oli also flayed the government that the post of IGP is still vacant.
Oli also showed his confidence that the local level polls would be held in stipulated date, according to him, people are eager to vote as there was no election for around 2 decades in Nepal. Asking all disgruntled parties to take part in the election, Oli further added that the election would help to make Nepal a prosperous country.
Oli showed his dissatisfaction over the procrastination in construction of Pokhara Regional International Airport. Urging government to start and expedite the construction of that airport Oli also talked about the dream project of railway from Kerung to Pokhara via Kathmandu. ‘We will definitely bring rail to Pokhara’, he claimed.
