Five killed as truck hits a parked bus

Nawalparasi—Five persons were killed and five other injured as a truck hit a parked bus at Madhya Bindu- 7 in Nawalparasi of mid Nepal this morning.

According to Ilaka Police Office Nawalpur, the Na 4 Kha 3995 bus that was heading for Kathmandu was hit by an Indian number plate truck with UP 58 T 5471 in East West Highway. The truck also was going to same direction.

Deceased bus travelers have been identified as Ram Chaudhary, 16, of Dang, Birbal Chaudhary, 17, Hari Ram Ramjali Magar, 38, of Surkhet and Truk driver Riyaj Khan, 25, of Bihar India. Another one person’s name is due to be identified.

Injured are being treated at local hospital of Madhya Bindu in Danda. The incident occurred as the bus was parked to change the puntured tyre in 2.45 am.
