FONIJ Kaski elects new executives

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: MB Astha Magar has been unanimously elected as a Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists (FONIJ) Kaski in Pokhara on Wednesday.

The 5th convention of FONIJ Kaski also elected 13 member new executive body for its three year of tenure. The convention also elected Dil Prasad Gurung in vice Chairman, Bhupal Gurung in secretary, Bina Thapa Magar in joint secretary and Uma Ale Magar in treasurer of new committee.

Gita Rana Magar, Durga Rana Magar, Sushil Shrestha, Chhabi Gharti Magar, Ramesh Gurung, Sonia Tamang, Samrat Gurung and Sushil Jwarchan were picked as a member of the FONIJ Kaski.

Likewise, Shila Gurung, Kanchan Gurung anbd Suk Bahadur Ghale were elected as provincial representatives. Indira Gurung and Sandesh Shrestha were chosen as observers. The convention also picked the center representatives for the FONIJ Kaski.

Hum Bahadur Gurung, Saraswati Gurung, Santi Gurung, Rudra Bahadur Gurung, Raj Bahadur Gurung, Rudra Srish Magar, Khem Saru Magar, Jitbahadur Gurung, Yug Gurung, Mina Thapa Magar, Roshani Gurung are given the responsibility of central representative. Khadga Jung Gurung is the central observer.

Newly elected executives, central representatives and observers and provincial representatives were sworn in by election committee coordinator Rudra Bahadur Thapa Magar. Newly elected FONIJ Kaski Chairman MB Astha Magar said that he would work for the wellbeing of indigenous journalists during his tenure. FONIJ center committee Chairman Danda Gurung also delivered his view during the opening ceremony of the convention.
