Former Mustangi King Bista passes awya

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Former King Gigme Pabal Bista who ruled in Nepal’s Trans-Himalayan Mustang District passed away at Om Hospital in Kathmandu last night. Former King Bista who had been suffering from high blood pressure for two years died at the age of 86. He has a wife and a son.

According to their relative Raju Bista, former King’s dead body would be put in Mustang Pagoda of Boudha before doing funeral ceremony on coming Monday. Jigme was a 25th King of Mustang district. He had taken his throne some 47 years before. He had done many social works in Mustang.

As monarchy in Nepal was abolished and King Gyanendra stepped down the throne, king Bista also had announced he was no more king of Mustang. Bista had been living at his home in Boudha of Kathmandu as he had fallen ill for more than 10 years.He was born in Lo Manthang of Mustang.
