Cable car system to be built from Phewa Lake to Sarangkot

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: A cable car system is to be constructed from the bank of Phewa Lake to Sarangkot of Pokhara in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City- 26 in Mid-Nepal.

The system would be one of the major man-made tourism products as the touristy town Pokhara has very little number of such attractions. Pokhara is actually naturally and culturally beautiful city.

Annapurna Cable Car (ACC) Pvt.Ltd is going to build such cable car system. The base station would be remained in Sedibagar nearby Phewa Lake. ACC President Kalu Gurung and his colleagues had holy pooja in Sedibagar to start the construction work of cable car on Wednesday.

Former Japanese national Takashi Miyahara, Nepali national Kalu Gurung, Captain Remeshwor Thapa including local people will invest 1 billion rupees to build the cable car within 1.5 years. According to Engineer Guna Raj Dhakal, a total of 13 tower rope-way will have 2275 meters of length. There would be 17 cabins in the system and eight visitors can travel in each cabin at once.

Chitawon Co-E group who had built the Manakamana Cable Car would also build cable car system in Sarangkot. Travelers can observe Phewa Lake, mountains, green hills and Pokhara city from the cabin while travelling the 8 minutes of distance.

Targeting the cable car system, a five star Hotel Himalayan View is being constructed in Sarangkot. The hotel premises covers 47 ropanis of land and the 9 storey building hotel will have an investment of 1.3 billion.
