Helicopter force-landed in Solukhumbu

Nepal see two air accidents within 24 hours

Recentfusion.com—Kathmandu: A Mountain Air helicopter met an accident in Jubhing of Solukhumbu district of Nepal. All 6 persons on board have said to be safe, informed District Police Office Solukhumbu.

Pilot Suresh Thapa had to force-land the helicopter 13 minutes after its take off, in paddy field of Jubhing village development committee- 5. The helicopter that flew with a patient suffered technical problem in engine before nosing down the field in the morning.

The helicopter with call sign 9N-ALQ was returning back to Lukla Airport with five persons including a patient from Jubhing. The helicopter had arrived Jubhing to airlift a man who suffered hand facture. Shree Air chopper rescued the passengers and airlifted to Lukla.

Likewise a Yeti Airlines plane 9NAIB had overshot the runway of Bhairahawa Airport on Saturday afternoon while landing. All passengers and 3 crew members of the aircraft, however, are said to be safe. There were 29 passengers and three crew members aboard.
