Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) citing the worse weather conditions cautioned travelers not to visit north east areas of Kaski.
Issuing a note today, ACAP Pokhara Information Officer Bikhyat Sherchan asked the visitors not to visit Sikles areas, one of the famous touristy villages in Annapurna Region. The note reads- since the last 3 days, the worse weather conditions of Sikles region damaged almost all motor-able road from Pokhara Sikles, Pokhara -Chansu and Pokhara Yangjakot is completely blocked.
Sherchan further adds—there are no vehicular movements. The project strictly prohibited the movement of people at the Upper Madi hydro project dam area considering falls of landslide at the side of Taprang hill region. The road for Saimrang, Bhachok, Nagidhar is completely blocked till date.
Likewise the note says–the floods damaged some crop field at Saimrang more over 12 goats and 3 buffaloes were lost at Saimrang due to floods. The river Madi is swelling up and there is rumor that Glacier Lake was burst. But in fact it is not true. The local people said that some floods around the Madi might be the reason.
