Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: New Diamond Academy (NDA) won the title of National Women Volleyball for the fourth straight time, beating Armed Police Force (APF) 3-0 in straight sets in a final match held in Lamachaur of Pokhara on Sunday.
NDA defeated APF 30-28, 25-15 and 25-20 sets. Similarly, Paschimanchal Tops School defeat Nepali Army in straight sets of 26-24, 25-21 and 25-14 to secure a third position. Winner team bagged Rs. 75,000, first runner up Rs. 50,000 and 2nd runner up Rs. 20,000. Likewise consolation prize winner got Rs 15,000.
Pratibha Mali- best player, Kumar Rai- best coach, Salina Shrestha- best libero, Lalita Nath- best quicker and Kripa Adhikari- best shorter of New Diamond bagged their respective prizes. Aruna Shahi of Paschimanchal got the prize of best server and Manisha Khand of Nepali Army bagged the prize of best blocker and Reshma Bhandari from APF won the title of best spiker.
Likewise, Tops Higher Secondary School defeating New Millennium Boarding in straight set bagged the title of inter secondary school volley ball tournament. Tops got Rs. 25,000 cash while New Millennium got Rs. 15,000 cash. The tournaments were organized by Nava Adarsha Samudaik Bikash Samaj on the occasion of Teej festival of Nepali women.
