At least 31 killed in Kavre bus accident

Recentfusion.com—Kavre: At least 31 passengers were killed on the spot and over 3 dozens injured as a bus veered off the road in Khahare Khola of Nepal’s Kavre district.

The ill-fated BA 3 Kha 106 bus was heading to Kattike Deurali of Kavre Palanchok district from Kathmandu before meeting accident at around 1 PM in Birta Deurali.

Nepal’s Army chopper was sent to incident site following an accident, informed Home Ministry’s spokesperson Yadav Koirala. 10 injured were taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. Other injured were airlifted to Kathmandu.

The bus with around 85 passengers fell down 150 meter below to the Nanpure stream. The incident site is 45 km far from district headquarter and 75 km southeast from Kathamandu. Security personals and local people were deployed to rescue the injured passengers. The deceased and injured were yet to be identified.
