75 killed in Nepal flood, landslide

Recentfusion.com–Pokhara:  At least 75 people were killed in Nepal’s floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall. Hundred of people were injured and dozens of settlement were submerged, informed Ministry of Home Affairs Nepal.

Nine bodies were found by security personnel during rescue operation on Wednesday. The search of 12 missing persons is undergoing and dozens of high-risk settlement have been evacuated. Nepal is reeling under heavy rainfall for more than 48 hours and authorities have warned of more rain even in tomorrow.

According to police, Pyuthan, Gulmi, Baglung and Makwanpur districts are highly affected area of the flood and landslide. According to Jhanka Nath Dhakal, deputy spokesperson of Home Ministry, the rescue and search operation is on basing Kathmandu and Surkhet.
