Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Devotees of Lord Shiva Monday marched in the streets of Pokhara to commence the month long Bol Om- let’s speak Om, festival organized by Kedareshowr Mandir Mahadev Mani Sewashram Committee.
Devotees reached in Kedareshowr Temple to offer Puja to Lord Shiva during Bol Om in the early morning. Shaun, the fourth month of Nepali calendar is believed to be a month of Lord Shiva. And every Monday of Shaun is believed to be a sacred day. So, the devotees fast on this day to make the Shiva happy.
According to Shankar Kharal, coordinator of this Bol Om rally, such tradition had stared some 14 years ago in Pokhara. Bol Om is marked in every Shiva Mandir of Pokhara, claimed Kharal. Carrying full of water vessels in their hand, thousands of devotees marched 8 Km long route from Seti River bank Gaighat to Bol Om dham Baidam.
