Pokahra: Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya Pokhara defeated Pokhara Learners 30-6 goals in an opening match of 2nd Ekata Books Inter School Handball Tournament began here in Pokhara on Monday.
In boys side, Sarswati, Social Public, Mount Annapurna and Janapriya entered in 2nd round defeating their rival team. Similarly in girls side, Mount Annapurna, Littele Step, Gyan Joyti, Gandaki and Srijana School outplayed their opponent.
Nepal Hand Ball Association President and Nepal Olympic Committee member Tej Gurung inaugurated the tournament. There would be all total 68 matches in Kaski District School Handball Association organized tournament.
District Sports Development Committee Kaski’s President Yam Bahadur Gurung, Ekata Books Publication’s relation officer Sanjay Adhikari and tournament coordinator Ahok Shahi expressed their remarks.
