Armed Police Force wins women’s volleyball title

Pokhara–Defending champion Armed Police Force lifted the title of 2nd Sabhamukh Cup women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday.

Defeating Nepal Police Club 3-1 sets in the court of Pokhara Stadium, APF also bagged Rs 350,000. Runner up NPC received Rs 175,000. APF is now qualyfied to take part in thr Dhorpatan double league women’s volleyball to be played in Kathmandu.

Similarly, thrashing home team Gandaki Province, Province 3 became 2nd runner up. They bagged Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000. Sarswati Chaudhary of APF became best player of the tournament. She bagged Rs 10,000.

A total of 10 teams including 3 departmental and 7 from 7 provinces took part in the tournament organized by National Sports Council.

Gandaki Province finance minister Kiran Gurung, Western Regional Sports Development Committee chairman Sampanna Shrestha including others distributed prizes to the winners.
