Medal winning Nepali paragliding team felicitated in Pokhara

Pokhara—Silver medal winning Nepali paragliding team has been felicitated in Pokhara on Tuesday. Nepali paragliding team had won the silver medal in cross country competition in 18th Asiad held in Jakarta of Indonesia.

Medal winning team members- Bimal Adhikari, Bijay Gautam, Yukesh Gurung, Sushil Gurung, Bishal Thapa including chief coach Yogesh Bhattarai and assistant coach Sano Babu Sunuwar were traveled in vehicle across the Pokhara city.

Western Regional Sports Development Committee, District Sports Development Committee Kaski, Nepal Airsports Association, Paragliding Pilot Sports Club Pokhara, Nepal Paragliding and Hang Gliding Association and Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Kaski jointly organized that felicitation program.

At the same time, Sports Minister Jagat Bahadur BK, National Sports Council Nepal member secretary Keshav Kumar Bista, WRSDC acting Chairman Sampanna Shrestha, DSDC Kaski chairman Yam Bahadur Gurung including others honored the medal winning players and coach in Pokhara Stadium. Ex-athlete Forum Nepal and Madan Bhandari Sports Academy Gandaki Coordinator Rajesh Gurung felicitated the Nepali team with a purse of Rs 50,000 separately.
