France beat Belgium to enter final of World Cup

Pokhara–France thrashed Belgium 1-0 and entered the final of FIFA World Cup after 12 years this morning.

Samuel Umtiti’s 51st minute header goal, utilizing Antoine Griezmann’s delivery from coroner remained enough to collapse neighboring Belgium in first semi final match held in Saint Petersburg. France had also entered final in 1998 and 2006. It was the 74th clash between two European heavyweights in the World Cup.

Similarly France was in its sixth semi final appearance and Belgium was playing for second time. The 1998 winner France will take on the last semi final winner between England and Croatia in final battle on July 15.
