Pokhara—The evacuation of all Thai 12 young soccer players and their 25-year-old coach who have been trapping in a flooded cave for 18 days, have been ended this afternoon today, the Thai Navy confirmed.
First four players were freed and remaining 8 including coach have been freed from dark and damp flooded Tham Luang Cave of northern Thailand today. The difficult rescue mission started on Monday. They were missing since June 23 and two British divers found them nine day later inside waterlogged cave on July 2. A Thai-led international group of rescue specialists and experienced divers from various nations freed the boys from flooded cave.
The boys including their coach had reach to observe the cave after their soccer practice and were trapped 4km far from the entrance following the heavy rain and flood in the cave. 19 divers entered the cave and 100 others were standby outside the cave as the rescue operation started in Chiang Rai Province. The medical checkup and treatment of rescued boys is undergoing, said Chiang Rai Gov. Narongsak Osatanakorn.
