Pokhara—Following the competition of group stage match 16 nations have been advanced in knock out stage that is scheduled to start from Saturday.
In this first day of second round, France takes on Argentina and Uruguay facing Portugal. The winner of both the matches will face each other in the quarter finals which is believed to be a tough draw. Similarly, on Monday Brazil takes on Mexico while Belgium plays with Japan.
The defending Champion Germany was crashed out from the group stage. An apology was announced by German national football team after their unexpected elimination from the first round. Italy and Netherlands were not qualified in the World Cup this time.
