Kathmandu—Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inducted 4 more ministers in his cabinet today. CPN-UML leader Ishwor Pokhrel became Defence Minister while Nepal Rastra Bank former governor and UML supporter Yubaraj Khatiwada has been given the responsibility of Finance Ministry. He is also a former vice chairman of National Planning Commission.
At the same time CPN-MC leader Ram Bahadur Thapa became Home Minister and Matrika Yadav from same party got the responsibility of Industry and Supply ministry. All of the newly appointed ministers have taken the oath of their office and secrecy. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari administered the oath during a ceremony in her office this afternoon.
Following today’s expansion, the council of minister has 7 members. Earlier, Lal Babu Pandit as Environment minister and Tham Maya Thapa as women minister had taken the oath of their office and secrecy on February 15.
