Mortal remains of 12 Nepalese handed over to relatives-update

Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: The mortal remains of 12 Nepalese killed in Afghanistan were handed over to their relatives today. Nepal Airlines’ chartered plane carried those remains including 24 other Nepalese migrant workers, has landed at Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli including other members of council of minister reached to receive the deceased and returning migrants. PM Oli paid tribute to the dead bodies carried in coffins from Kabul. Oli termed the suicide attack as cowardice. Tribhuvan Airport could be seen in full of grief as keens of victims were there.

Earlier, NAC airbus had left for Kabul at around 6.30 am and flew back to Kathmandu at 12.6 pm today. The plane landed at Kathmandu at around 2.40 pm w. Five injured–Prem Bahadur Chhetri, Chetprasad Serchan, Kumar Bahadur Gurung, Krishna Kumar Deuja and Amrit Rokaya– had taken to New Delhi for further treatment on Wednesday morning. PM KP Sharma Oli and DPM Kamal Thapa pay tribute to mortal remains at TIA on Wednesday. The 12 were Nepali security guards among the 14 killed and seven were Nepalese among the injured 9 guards in Kabul suicide bombing happened on Monday morning. Taliban had claimed the responsibility of bombing. The government pledged to provide 1 million each keen family as compensation. Another injured Chyangba Tamang who had been in treatment in Kabul reportedly dead today.
