Pokhara—The Lekhnath City Hospital has come into operation from Friday at Budhibazaar in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City- 26 from Friday. The 25-bed hospital with ICU, NICU and operation services was inaugurated by PLMC Mayor Man Bahadur GC amid a special ceremony.
The hospital targets the patients from Lekhnath area, Rupa and Madi Rural Municipalities, Tanahun, Lamjung, Gorkha districts and some parts of the Syangja. At the same time, Mayor GC hoped that the LCH not only would be the helpful for the development of Lekhnath but also ends the compulsion to reach to the Pokhara base hospital for treatment.
LCH Managing Director Udeep Raj Dhungana said that the hospital would provide modern health services and added that his dad faced untimely death as he didn’t get timely health service due to the lack of hospital services nearby his home. LCH director Sujan Ranabhat informed that the hospital would also provide free health service to the poor and helpless people as part of social responsibility.
CPN-MC leader Jhalakpani Tiwari, Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Krishna Hari Bhandari and PLMC ward 26 chairman Narayan Prasad Baral expressed their views during the opening ceremony chaired by LCH president Dr. Kamal Kumal.
