403 persons get free health check up in Pokhara

Pokhara—A total of 403 persons got free blood test at a camp organized at Matepani in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City- 12 on Saturday. The camp was jointly organized by United Reference Libratory New Road, PLMC- 12, Rotary Club of Pokhara Midtown and Rotract Club of Pokhara Midtown.

This is the 41th free camp organized by URL. The tests of diabetes, triglycerides, liver were carried out during the camp where Dr. Subash Bhattarai also spoke about problem and the prevention techniques of various diseases.

PLMC Mayor Man Bahadur GC asked all the private and social institutions to work for welfare and fulfill the social responsibilities for the better help of the citizens. He also claimed that his office is committed to fulfill its health related duty for the citizens.

URL managing director Thakur Prasad Panta informed that more than 23,000 persons got free health check up from his laboratory so far. He also vowed to provide modern test services to the patients as the leading laboratory of Province IV.

The free health camp was chaired by Rotary Club of Pokhara Mid Town chairman Mahendra Godar. PLMC ward 2 chairman Ram Bahadur Karki and Rotract Club of Pokhara Midtown chairman Anil Lamichhane also expressed their views during the opening of the camp.
