Drug racket busted in Pokhara

Pokhara–Police have arrested 8 persons including an Indian national for illegally possessing narcotics at Prithvi Chowk in Pokhara on Thursday morning. Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) of Pokhara seized a big amount of drugs from them. A co-driver of the bus is also among the accused, informed Police Inspector Rabindra Gurung. NCB seized 500 sets of Nurofen, Diazepam and Phenergan each from them.

Shiva Kumar Nishad from Santa Kavinagar of Buffergunj district of India, co driver of a Butwal-Kathmandu bus Ajay Shahi, Indra Prasad Gurung, Dipen Chhetri, Samrat Rana of Pokhara, Aliya Tamang and Kalyan Tamang of Dhading and Mekh Bahadur Gurung of Sukla Gandaki were arrested by the police. Nishad and Shahi are the exporters of drugs from India and other have been selling and having in Nepal.
