Six feared dead in Baglung landslides

Pokhara—At least six persons were reportedly killed due to the Thursday night landslides in Nepal’s Baglung district. According to District Police Office Baglung, the landslide in Nishikhola- 2, Bahun Gaun- Baglung buried four of a single family.

Maniman Chhantyal, his wife Nandakali, daughter in law Bindu and daughter Gita were buried in the landslide but the dead bodies of Nandakali and Bindu have been excavated last day.

Hom Bahadur BK, 55 of Dhorpatan- 5 and Khagishara Sinjali, 75 of Devisthan- 1 also went missing as landslide hit his house in Dhorpatan- 5 of same district. A local hydropower system is also out of order due to the landslide in Nishikhola- 4, black-outing some 1065 households.
