Pokhara—At least four persons were killed as a passenger jeep plunged in Nepal’s Baglung district this morning. According to District Police Office Baglung, the jeep with a number plate Dha 1 Ja 184 which was heading to Kharbang from Jaljala met with an accident in between Badigadh Rural Municiapality ward 4 Jaljala and ward 5 Gwalichaur.
Six other passengers were injured when the jeep plunged some 700 meters down from the road. Three of them are critical. Injured are undergoing treatment in local primary health post. Deceased are reportedly identified as Humen Kaucha, Mukta Paija, Nar Bahadur Sherbuja and driver Tul Bahadur Pun.
The ill-fated jeep met with an accident as its owner Man Bahadur Pun tried to stop the jeep by putting a stone-support under the tire. Badigadh Rural Municipality Chief Mehar Singh Paija said that they are talking with CDO to manage a chopper to airlift the injured to the Kathmandu or Pokhara.
