Pokhara: The pre-judging round of Miss Newa 1137 has concluded here in Pokhara on Sunday. Their photo shoot and observation trip also have been carried out of that beauty pageant which is going to be organized by Newa Khala Kaski in Pokhara City Hall on March 11.
The contestants were pre-judged based on their skill to give them various sub-titles on the final day of the contest, informed program coordinator Shambhu Lal Shrestha. According to him, the contestants were taken to Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kirtipur and Bhatapur to teach them about Newari culture and civilization.
Sraddha Srestha, Barsha Srestha, Simran Shrestha, Suman Shrestha, Kripa Shrestha, Sarishma Udas, Laxmi Shrestha, Sumitra Shrestha, Rashna Buddhacharya, Ansu Shakya, Sriya Shrestha, Aakriti Shrestha, Jyashmin Shrestha, Nikita Ligal, Prathana Dangola, Aaushma Shrestha and Susmi Katila are taking part in the contest.
Winner, first runner up and second runner up will bag Rs 40,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. The saving after program will be invested to save and promote the Newari culture as well as for the development of physical constructions.
