Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: Fourth Rambazaar Festival 2016 has kicked off in Pokhara on Sunday. With a slogan let’s go, eat and enjoy at Rambazzar, Rambazaar Youth Club is organizing that festival in the premises of Kalika Higher Secondary School.
Western Regional Administrator Khag Raj Baral inaugurated the festival that will be concluded on October 29. The main motto behind the festival is the promotion and development as well as conservation of identity of Rambazaar.
Rambazaar Society UK adviser Mahesh Gurung, social worker Niraj Thapa, entrepreneur Chandra Kishor Gautam, RYC vice president Dhan Bahadur Pun and Pokhara Nagar Mahila Samanwya Samiti president Pabitra Gurung had expressed their views during the opening ceremony chaired by RYC president Kumar Thing Tamang. Social worker Shammar Bahadur Shrestha was felicitated for his contribution in the society, during the opening ceremony.
Earlier a cultural rally marched from Amarsingh Chowk to festival venue for the promotion of the festival. Nepal Magar Association Rambazaar, Rambazaar Misa Pucha, Nepal Daibi Shakti Dharmic Sewa Samiti and Sri Krishna Mandir Aama Samuha became first, second, third and fourth respectively in the culturally rally demonstration.
The organizer hopes that the festival would be helpful in promoting the art and culture including domestic and international tourism in Pokhara. The festival that contains 35 stalls is assisted by Rambazaar Society UK, Rambazaar Society HK including various business organizations and entrepreneurs from Pokhara.
According to club General Secretary Khagendra Chhetri, street carnival, Deusi Bhailo competition, duet songs, DJ session, cultural and folk dances, performances by national and local level artists, ethnic rally, food stalls, Children Park and many more would be the major attractions of the festival. Asper the festival poster, singer Deepak Bajracharya, Cob Web, Kamal Man Singh, Lahure, Aastha Raut, Sabin Rai, Deurali Band and Sandip Chhetri would rock the festival.
Some 90,000 visitors are expected in the festival that would take the expenses of RS 2,595,000 and would save Rs 550,000. Some of the incomes go for social development and for the wellbeing of child labors.
