Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City (PSMC) Office Chief Executive Officer Naba Raj Dhungana vowed to manage an unit of road maintenance in his office, in Pokhara on Tuesday.
Addressing an interaction program organized to welcome his arrival as PSMC CEO, Dhungana said that he was very serious on complaints and suggestion put by hoteliers in the interaction. Western Regional Hotel Association (WRHA) Pokhara has organized that interaction with an aim to expedite the holistic development of Pokhara town.
Dungana added that he would manage a contractor to renovate the damaged roads in Pokhara. He also said that he would like to see Pokhara as an international tourist destination and would like to cooperate with hoteliers to make that task success.
Earlier, WRHA Pokhara president Bharat Raj Parajuli put some should be done development and conservation works in Pokhara. The conservation of Phewa Lake, garbage management, road renovation, tax payer friendly unified property tax and development of Pokhara as a green city were some of his pointing in the program. He also expressed WRHA Pokhara readiness to cooperate with PSMC office for the development of Pokhara.
WRHA Pokhara advisers and former presidents Ramesh Bahadur Bhattarai, Hari Dhoj Tulachan, Bishwo Shankar Palikhe, Meharman Shrestha, Laxmi Bahadur Bhattarai, Govinda Raj Pahari, Biplab Paudel and general secretary Bhekendra Kumar Shrestha also expressed their views and suggestions for the development of tourism as well as whole Pokhara.
Meanwhile, a meeting of WRHA Pokhara selected its treasurer Rajendra Dhakal as a coordinator of Bhai Tika Festival that is to be celebrated during Tihar.
