Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: CPN-UML leader and former health minister Khag Raj Adhikari said that the constitution couldn’t be amended to fulfill anybody’s vested interest.
Inaugurating the fifth convention of Youva Sangh Nepal (USN), Lekhnath Municipality, ward committee- 10 on Saturday, Adhikari cleared that his party was ready to amend the constitution as per the people’s requirement and wish if there was justifiable reason.
Adhikari who is also a his party center committee adviser accused the government of running far from local body election and urged the government to conclude the local body restructuring task as soon as possible to hold the elections. He also claimed there is working anti-democratic forces for not to implement the constitution; so, according to him, youths should work to tackle that forces.
CPN-UML District Election Committee Kaski president Tika Ram Pageni, Lekhnath Municipal Coordinator Shankar Paudel, Jana Sanskritik Mahasangh vice president Padam Raj Dhakal, USN Anchal Committee president Nab Raj Ojha, regional committee president Ram Chandra Timilsina, Nanda Prasad Adhikari, Rudra Nath Adhikari, Kedar Nath Adhikari, Fadindara Mohan Adhikari and Ganesh Bahadur Thapa expressed their views during the program chaired by USN ward committee 10 president Buddhi Bahadur Nepali.
The convention also elected new committee for upcoming two years. President Budhhi Bahadur Nepali, vice president Tulsi Adhikari, secretary Dilip Giri, joint secretary Bishwo Raj Acharya and treasurer Indra Subedi are the newly elected executives.
