Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Newly elected Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Assocation (WRA) executive body took the oath of office in Pokhara on Tuesday.

The 14th convention and 23rd annual general meeting of TAAN WRA had elected a new executive body on last Saturday. The executive body including president Deepak Raj Adhikari was sworn in by election committee coordinator and TAAN WRA adviser Dambar Bahadur KC in a formal ceremony organized by TAAN WRA Pokhara.

Addressing the ceremony, election coordinator KC suggested the TAAN WRA executives to work for outputs. He also said that the newly elected executive body was inclusive and added that the TAAN should lobby for the well-being of real trekking entrepreneurs. TAAN immediate past president Ram Chandra Sharma congratulated new executive body and handed over the official documents to the president Adhikari.

Speaking in a program, TAAN WRA president Deepak Raj Adhikari vowed to work for the development and promotion of tourism in and around Pokhara, cooperating with TAAN advisers and former presidents. He also added that he would work for the security of trekking workers.

Sanjeev Thapa and TAAN official staff Jyoti Gurung were felicitated for their contribution on their respective fields, during the program.
