Narayan Koirala terms himself a common candidate

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Narayan Koirala who is vying for Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) president, claimed that he is a common candidate of all the voters.

Organizing a press meet, Koirala Wednesday formally unveiled his manifesto and tried to make clear that why he is in presidential race of PCCI that is going to host a 31st general convention on September 16 and 17 in Pokhara.

Koirala, who is also a executive member of PCCI said he is in election run without any specific panel as he thinks that the panel forging trend should be avoided as PCCI has already amended its statute. He also asked the voters to choose the capable leadership instead of going for specific panel.

Koirala also claimed that he knows the aspiration of private sector and added that he has the support of most of the voters as he reached to their doorsteps without any certain team of candidates. He also stressed on to put the PCCI above the political intervention. According to him, political intervention makes the PCCI very weak. He asked all the candidates not to involve in a game that makes PCCI a fragile institution.

With a slogan—Guarantee of business rights and well-being: Capable leadership today’s necessity, Koirala claimed that he would bring around 10,000 businessmen under the umbrella of PCCI if he wins the election.

The enhancement of PCCI, social contribution, well being of PCCI general members, techno-friendly secretariat and consultation with respective agencies to develop Pokhara as a modern city are some of his commitments that he announced during the press meet.

Koirala who has been in PCCI for more than a decade said that he would like to see Pokhara as a city of education, health, tourism and the agriculture in reality, as per the policy of PCCI.

He is the proprietor of New Nayan Gift and Kitchen Mahendrapul and the NS Kitchen Collection Ghairapatan. He has successfully completed his responsibility in PCCI as an executive member for four terms and general secretary.
