Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: United Reference Laboratory Pvt. Ltd. (URL) has established a sample collection center in Damauli, the district headquarter of Tanahun district, recently.
Senior Urologist Dr. Dhruba Bahadur Adhikari inaugurated the collection center, in a formal ceremony organized by URL which has been providing laboratory services from Giri Complex New Road of Pokhara for few years. The newly launched sample collection center aims to provide international standard pathology services in and around Tanahun District.
Speaking in a program, Dr. Adhikari expressed his hopefulness that the center would be helpful to provide modern health service in a time when the world is facing new health problems and challenges along with a time being. He also said that the complex and sensitive blood test cases, which have been referring to Kathmandu or abroad’s high-tech labs, could also be examined in local level now. That will save the time and money of patients who conveniently can have service from URL now, said Dr. Adhikari.
URL director Sushil Thapa informed that the URL has been providing its services specially focusing to province number IV patients. ‘The laboratory sector of Nepale is progressing gradually, ‘he added- we should have checked up our body in a gap of certain time frame as our body is also a kind of engine.
According to URL Managing Director Thakur Prasad Pant, his laboratory has already provided its services to more than 52,000 patients. He also added that the URL would work balancing the corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship. According to URL president Dinesh Babu Khadka, all total 307 patients had got their diabetes (kidney) test in free of cost during the collection center opening. In this connection, the URL had already established a sample collection center in Baglung.
CPN-UML leader Pratap Lal Shrestha, CPN-UML Tanahun deputy secretary Bishnu Bhakta Sigdel, Nepali Congress Byas Municipality president Santi Raman Wagle, CPN-MC central representative Biru Thapa, Ratna Hari Hospital management committee president Tara Prasad Shrestha, Damauli Hospital Development Committee president Hari Raj Kandel and Pharmaceuticals Association Damauli general secretary Damodar Bhandari expressed their remarks during the opening session.
