Solar system donation handed over to Armala schools

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Citizens of Komagane City of Japan and Komagane Municipal Workers Union have donated the solar power system to two schools of Armala in Nepal’s Kaski district.

Annapurna Secondary School and Shanti Higher Secondary School of Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City- 28 received the solar system related donations worth rupees 550,000.

Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City Frmer Mayor Krishna Thapa and JICA’s Nepal’s volunteer Kuniaki Yazawa handed over those materials to those two schools in separate two programs. Former mayor Thapa said that Pokhara couldn’t take benefit from Komagane even though those two cities are in sister relationship for around 18 years. According to him, it is because there has not happened local body election in Nepal since long.

He also recalled that the association had helped in building a maternal and child friendship hospital and Pokhara-Komagane Park in Pokhara. The cultural exchange programs are also going on, Thapa informed.

Cosmos International College Executive Director and former student Tej Gurung coordinated that entire donation program. Pokhara Sub-metropolitan city Senior Officer Om Raj Poudel, Sarada Mohan Kafle, Senior Engineer and Chief of Planning and Public Construction Department, Spokesperson Ananta Koirala, social worker Karna Bahadur Gurung and School Management Committee President Naina Gurung also expressed their views during the program.
